Music in the Halls

You can reach for a guitar or ukulele no matter where you are in our school. These instruments hang from padded hooks on every floor, and during class breaks they’re often in students’ hands, filling the air with music. The founders of the school believed music should be part of the students’ daily lives, not only for the beauty of the sound but also the beauty of the instrument. The only rule for making music in our hallways is that no amplified, canned, or boom box music is allowed – you must make the music yourself, using the instrument and your own voice.
