Class of 2018 Celebrates Graduation

On June 12, the 87 students who comprise The Northwest School Class of 2018 assembled under the evening lights of The Center of Spiritual Living to receive their high school diplomas and embark on a new chapter of their lives.

For the final time, science teacher Renee Fredrickson and philosophy teacher Glen Sterr addressed the students. Both Renee and Glen, who have over 60 years of combined tenure at Northwest, are retiring this year. Joe W. represented the students, delivering a powerful message to his classmates and their families and friends.

Like all Northwest graduations, many students took the stage for their final high school performance. The senior members of the A Capella choir sang "leaving on a Jet Plane" by John Denver, and a special ensemble group performed "Rockin' in the Free World" by Neil Young.
