Strong Finishes for Fall Sports

The boys' and girls' cross country teams finished fourth on the podium at the 1A State Meet in Pasco, Washington, on Nov. 4. Macenna H. '18 finished in second place individually, and Tam P. '17 finished in fifth place.

The girls are the defending state champions, but that defense took a hit when Isa M. '17, one of the top 1A runners in the state, injured her leg in the days before the meet. Says Director of Athletics Britt Atack: "On one hand, Isa's injury was a blow to the team's hopes for a third straight state championship. But, more importantly, on the other hand, it's a testament to the strength and depth of our team to earn fourth-place without a runner of her magnitude."

Congratulations to all of our runners! The full results of the race can be viewed here.

In other Northwest fall sports, the volleyball team's season ended on Nov. 4 as the most winningest volleyball team in school history with a 15-5 record! The girls fell in a hard-fought match to South Whidbey High School in the Bi-District tournament.
