Dana Sewall

B.A. (Music Education), Whitworth University, M.A. (Music Education), University of St. Thomas.

As a music teacher, Dana loves exploring the vocal expression of common human emotions in the classroom. In 2002, she published her master’s thesis on a scientific study that looked at the effectiveness of physical gestures on a student’s ability to execute a vocal singing technique. Her joy in teaching has extended to other countries, including teaching music to students in an orphanage in Guatemala. Closer to home, she has been a member of the Spokane Symphony Chorale. In her free time, she enjoys reading, puzzles, games, and raising her two children.
