​Ellie Sandstrom

B.F.A., Cornish College of the Arts. Brain Compatible Dance Education Certificate.

Ellie has been dancing and performing for over 30 years. She has studied many forms of dance technique, composition, improvisation, and body conditioning at celebrated schools and festivals across the country. She teaches/has taught at Seattle’s Velocity Dance Center, University of Washington, Cornish College of the Arts, Pacific Northwest Ballet Studios, and at the Perpich Center for Arts Education. She continues to add to her list of choreographic commissions under the name SANDSTROMMOVEMENT. Ellie was awarded a 2009 Spotlight Award by Seattle Magazine. She appears in Seattle 100, a book of photography, and has received funding for her choreographic work from both the Office of Arts & Culture and Artist Trust. When she's not teaching, performing, or choreographing, she can be found remodeling her home, working in her gardens, or cooking.
