Suzanne Bottelli

B.A. (English Language and Literature), University of Virginia; M.F.A (Creative Writing), University of Iowa; M.A. (English Literature), Middlebury College.

Suzanne has taught at The Bullis School in Potomac, Maryland, The Center for Talented Youth, Elder Hostel, and at the University of Iowa. She is an established poet and believes that poetry says things prose can’t and is the best glimpse into someone else’s imagination and consciousness. She has published a chapbook of poems, The Feltville Formation, and has won awards for her work from the Seattle Arts Commission, the Washington State Artist Trust, and Jack Straw Studios. Suzanne is passionate about Latin America and is a core member of the Puget Sound Chapter of School of the Americas Watch.

Suzanne Bottelli was one of three speakers to address a community event, “The Cost of War: Salvadoran Immigration and U. S. Intervention,” in the fall of 2017. Suzanne has led a number of Northwest’s trips to El Salvador, which many alumni cite as one of the most powerful educational experiences of their lives.
