Lynn Heramis

Lynn arrives at Northwest from Willows Preparatory School in Redmond, where she served as an ESA Certified School Counselor. She holds a Master of Arts in Counseling Education from Virginia Tech University and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Southern California. Lynn is a licensed mental health counselor associate in the state of Washington, has authored a published work, and has experience creating curriculum focused on healthy adolescent development. She enjoys traveling, eating, and reading with a good cup of coffee.

In her application materials, Lynn tells us: “As adults in the school community, we have a collective responsibility to model healthy relationships and create policies, practices, and culture that support students/faculty as cultural beings who exist within systems and contexts. For example, it is paramount to recognize when privilege-oppression dynamics show up in relationships so that we may acknowledge, reflect, and communicate awareness and compassion.”
