Jacob Tafejian
Math Teacher
Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with a Minor in Astronomy, Western Washington University, WA.
Jacob began tutoring students in the University Tutoring Center during his sophomore year of college and then began leading study groups for math and physics. Ultimately he was promoted to lead math tutor. This experience, though challenging as a full-time student, led to his passion for teaching. He spent the last few years in Colorado, teaching at Fort Collins High School and CSU's Upward Bound program. “While I loved the state, I am happy to be back in Washington and I am thrilled to get to know the students and staff at Northwest this year. Alongside my love for teaching, I enjoy spending time in the mountains, running with my dog, having dinner with friends, and learning new things.”
