Give to Northwest

Your Support Makes a Northwest Education Possible
Give to The Northwest School
The Northwest School experience is powered by our community—parents, alumni, grandparents, faculty, Trustees, and friends.
Your support ensures that every student can access Northwest’s full experience: rigorous academics, global experiences, vibrant arts programs, and so much more.
Why Giving Matters
Your support strengthens every part of the Northwest experience. Philanthropy fuels innovative teaching, keeps the arts and athletics strong, provides global learning opportunities, and ensures that every student has access to the full scope of our programs.
Ways to Give
Here are some of our giving opportunities—each one is vital to what makes Northwest unique.
Give the Gift of Time, Resources or Expertise
Donate
Your financial contribution directly supports our mission and strengthens the student experience. Every dollar counts toward creating an exceptional education.
Spread the Word
Share our fundraising campaigns with friends, family, and your networks who care about education and want to empower the next generation of socially responsible citizens. Expanding our supporter network helps us reach our goals.
Volunteer your time
Get involved by volunteering at an event, keeping score at a game, serving on the Parent/Guardian Association, joining a committee, or sharing your expertise as a panelist. Tell us how you would like to share your skills and time by filling out a volunteer form.
Open up your home
Host a dorm student, welcome visiting faculty, or open your home for a school gathering. These contributions create lasting connections and strengthen our community.

All gifts made to the Northwest School are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.
Make a Difference
The House Fund
Our Annual Campaign
Each fall, we kick off our most important fundraiser of the year. Gifts to our annual House Fund are spent during the current school year and help finance everyday operating costs including: teacher materials, faculty salaries, technology, financial aid, campus maintenance, professional development, and much more.
Meaningful gifts from everyone in the Northwest community (our Board of Trustees, faculty and staff, parents, grandparents and alumni) provide early, critical support for our operating budget, allowing us to meet needs proactively and say “yes” to the kinds of opportunities that enrich every student’s learning experience.
Endowment Giving
Gifts to the Northwest endowment help ensure the long-term financial health of the school and the flexibility to respond to needs in the decades ahead. Endowed funds are invested for the long term with the interest earned each year providing revenue for specific areas, per the direction of the donor.
New endowments can be created to benefit a specific area of the school with pledges of $100,000 and more.
Our biggest endowed fund is the The Raymond Taussig Terry Financial Aid Endowment, named for our founders Paul Raymond, Ellen Taussig, and Mark Terry. This endowment provides funding for students who qualify to receive financial aid, and ensures that we can continue to attract and enroll eligible students in perpetuity. Our community has come together to grow this fund to $13,526,687 million (as of August, 2024).
The Northwest Experience Fund
For an Equitable Student Experience
The X-fund provides support for additional costs beyond tuition. This allows students who receive financial aid to fully participate all Northwest School experience, inclusive of (but not limited to) books and supplies, art supplies and instruments, athletic gear and travel, and global experiences.
