Jeremy Dewitt
Science Teacher
B.A. (Geological Sciences), Brown University; M.Ed. (Science Education), University of Washington; Washington State Teaching Certificate (Middle Level Math and Science), Antioch University Seattle. Jeremy has worked as a teacher and curriculum developer in a variety of classroom and outdoor learning environments, including The Perkins School, Pacific Science Center, Triangle Associates Inc., Seattle Public Schools, and Villa Academy. He enjoys helping students recognize that they have the power to construct their own understanding through careful observation and questioning. Jeremy is passionate about place-based education, learning from mistakes, slowing down to notice the important stuff, and giving students plenty of room to figure things out on their own. His interests include backpacking, skiing, gardening, reading science fiction, team sports, and spending time with his family.
