Noah Montgomery
Science Teacher
Noah Montgomery brings a rich background in environmental law, policy, and education to our school. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a Concentration in Environmental Studies from Kenyon College and went on to complete his JD at the University of Oregon School of Law, where he served as Executive Editor of the Journal of Environmental Law & Litigationand co-directed the Green Business Initiative.
Noah’s passion for sustainability drives his work, and he is dedicated to creating impactful educational experiences that highlight the importance of sustainable practices. At EF International Academy in Pasadena, CA, where he recently taught science and co-directed the Innovation & Impact Program, Noah developed AP Biology and AP Environmental Science curricula rooted in Competency-Based and Project-Based Learning. In this role, he guided students in creating meaningful, community-focused initiatives, such as designing reef-friendly sunscreen and establishing an on-campus bike rental program, empowering them to make a tangible impact within their communities.
Noah believes deeply in individualized learning, stating, “Creating a classroom space that promotes individualized learning recognizes that each student has unique academic and personal needs. All students deserve the opportunity to pursue their goals despite these needs.” His courses are carefully designed to provide scaffolding and resources that empower students to achieve their unique goals.
