Tyler draws on a unique blend of experiences from his background as a humanities teacher and educational operations administrator. With a strong background in instructional leadership and operational management, Tyler has worked in diverse roles to support academic success and foster inclusive, equitable environments.

Tyler earned his Master of Arts in English - Cultural, Social, and Political Thought from the University of Victoria. He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in English with a concentration in Creative Writing and Minor in Philosophy from Louisiana State University, including a year-long exchange program in creative writing at the University of Washington.

In his recent role as Senior Operations Administrator and Campus Manager at the Dartmoor School, he managed complex scheduling and coordinated communications between admin, teachers, students, parents, and school districts. Tyler’s ability to prioritize competing demands while maintaining attention to detail allowed him to support multiple departments effectively.

Beyond his technical expertise, he brings a deep commitment to relationship-building and collaboration. Whether engaging with faculty, parents, or students, Tyler strives to create an inclusive and supportive environment where all voices are valued. He was particularly drawn to Northwest’s dedication to preparing students for a complex and interconnected world—a vision that resonates deeply with his personal and professional values.

Before his time at Dartmoor, Tyler was a Mentor and Language Learning Instructor at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes, where he trained and supported instructors while providing personalized cognitive and language instruction. This blend of teaching and operational experience has equipped Tyler with a versatile skill set that enriches his work in educational administration.

Outside of work, Tyler enjoys skateboarding, hiking with his dog, and playing a variety of musical instruments.
